The Yorba — Slaughter Families Adobe Chino Hills, California is a historic site of the battle between American settlers and Native Americans in 1846. The adobe was built by John Rowland and his wife Johanna Peralta de la Guerra, who had been granted Rancho La Tajauta by Governor Micheltorena in 1843. It now houses an exhibition of artifacts related to the history of Chino Hills as well as exhibits on early Southern California ranching life.
