Things to do in Manchester
So you just moved to Manchester, New Hampshire? So did we. Like many others before us, the decision to move north was a difficult one because there are so many reasons not to make the leap from our lives in Boston and elsewhere but it is those very things about life here that have made the transition so easy for all of us who decided to do it. Things changed when we arrived: jobs were plentiful with just as much opportunity as any other metro area; family history became less important than what friendships had developed over generations or relocated families could forge new roots with their own kids; childhood memories gave way more easily (and sometimes painfully) toward newer adventures on unfamiliar terrain together. And while I am no longer able to go to the same places I once knew, I'm always excited to see what's new and just a little different.
Things To Do In Manchester: The best place for me is outside- because there are so many great paths throughout town that make it easy to leave behind any worries or cares of the daily grind; but if you're looking for something indoors, take time out from your shopping trip at Uncommon goods on Elm Street with an espresso break next door at Sticks & Stones Coffee Company before heading over to Jane Bond (the one in Downtown) - they serve up some pretty delicious food! For those who like their drinks stiffer than coffee, head downtown where Union Station Bar will be happy to oblige with cocktails so stiff you'll barely be able to stand up.
Best Things To Do In Manchester NH: I can't think of many better ways to spend a day than doing something outdoors especially when it's in the park, where I find myself often these days. The city has created so much opportunity for those looking for more nature out their door with plenty of green space and walking paths to enjoy. There are also some great local parks that have sprung up recently too; check out Mill Pond Park or Riverian Park if you're interested in checking them out! If getting outside isn't your thing, there's always plenty going on around town as well - from catching an art show at Ward Place Gallery (which is right next door!)
Best Coffee Spot in Manchester, New Hampshire: City Bean A coffee shop in Manchester, New Hampshire that is frequented by the locals. They serve a variety of different coffees and teas as well as pastries for you to enjoy. Don't forget they have free WIFI.
The Coffee House on Elm Street This place serves up amazing coffees over some great conversation with friends or just your local morning regulars. Great spot to start off your day.
Best Place to hangout in Manchester, New Hampshire: Manchester, New Hampshire is a really cool place. It's got three of the best state parks in all of America and it has the most beautiful views you'll ever see!
One of my favorite things to do there are hikes- I love hiking through Franconia Notch State Park because there are so many different trails that lead me up to some breathtaking waterfalls like Profile Falls or Twin Birches Falls.
If you're looking for something more relaxing than hiking, then try canoeing on Great Bay Estuary at Zealand Landing Wildlife Refuge. There are tons of other places where you can go kayaking too but I think this one is by far the nicest! Another attraction worth checking out if Manchester is your new home is the New Hampshire Museum of Art. This place has a ton of paintings and sculptures that are all really unique and interesting to see. Next time you're in Manchester, try going on one of these hikes for some fresh air or take your pup out on a kayak adventure I guarantee it'll be worth it.
