The city of Warren is situated in central Macomb county, about 15 miles from Detroit. It's population sits at just over 134,000 people as of the 2010 census with a land area covering approximately 17 square miles. The city has been growing steadily since it was founded back in 1827 by two men named Elisha Lawrence and John Prentiss Jr., who had purchased land for $200 dollars from the federal government.
